Boarding House Stipend Scheme (Tripura Govt.)

The scheme Boarding House Stipend by the Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, aims to provide accommodation to ST boys and girls in hostels from remote areas, provide residential facilities to ST students whose residence is beyond 3 km of the school, and reduce dropout rates. Through this scheme, a Boarding House Stipend per day per student (inclusive of LPG subsidy and sweeping/cleaning allowance per day) is provided, covering up to 322 days (approximately 10 months) in an academic year to students from Class I to XII accommodated in Government-run hostels and approved NGO-run boarding houses. The scheme is implemented by the Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura. > Objectives: - To provide accommodation to the ST boys and girls in the hostels hailing from remote areas. - To provide residential facilities to the ST student whose resident is beyond 3 km of the School. - To reduce the dropout rate.
