About This Scheme

The Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme is implemented by the Higher Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi under the aegis of The Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust. The scheme aims to provide financial support to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of society through reimbursement of Tuition Fee Only for eligible undergraduate courses. It is applicable to students admitted to Government Universities, Colleges, and Institutions located in Delhi from the academic session 2022-2023 onwards. Applications are processed through the concerned College, University, and the Department of Higher Education, and the approved financial assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Required Documents

  • Copy of Mark Sheet/Certificate of having passed class XII or qualifying examination.
  • Certificate related to SC/ST Category issued by Competent Authority, if applicable.
  • All previous year mark sheets/certificate from concerned University/Institution of current programme.
  • A declaration, as per Format at [Annexure-A](https://higheredn.delhi.gov.in/sites/default/files/higheredn/generic_multiple_files/4090_dhe_0001.pdf), by the student affirming that no financial support has been availed/is being availed from any other scheme for meeting the cost of education for the course/program. 1. Copy of annual Family Income Certificate issued by the SDM/Competent Authority.

How to Apply

Step 1: The applicant must apply through the online portal of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

Step 2: The applicant must submit the printed application along with the required documents to the concerned College, University, or Institution.

Step 3: The concerned College or Institution verifies the application and recommends eligible cases to the affiliated University.

Step 4: The concerned University verifies the applications and forwards eligible applications with the fund requirement to the Department of Higher Education.

Step 5: The Department of Higher Education submits the proposal to the Trustees of the Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust for approval.

Step 6: After approval, funds are released to the concerned University.

Step 7: The University transfers the approved financial assistance to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
