About This Scheme
Implemented by the School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, this state-sponsored initiative provides free uniforms to students of Classes 1 to 8 studying in government primary and middle schools. Launched on 1st July 2004, the scheme aims to promote regular attendance and reduce dropout rates among schoolchildren. Under this scheme, each boy is provided with two pairs of uniforms valued at ₹600, while each girl receives two pairs of stitched uniforms through the School Management Committee. The scheme extends its benefits to students across both rural and urban areas of the state.
