The scheme aims to increase productivity and wages of Khadi artisans, improve production infrastructure, boost employment and sales, revive traditional rural skills, modernize sales outlets, and promote marketing and exports.

Assistance provided under different components of Scheme:
Agarbatti Programme under Wellness and Cosmetics Industries (WCI):
- Training Programme in Agarbatti industry.
- Distribution of Pedal operated / Automatic Agarbatti Machinery to trained artisans.
Leather Footwear Activity under Handmade Paper Leather & Plastic Industry (HMPLPI):
- Training on designing and manufacturing of footwear.
- Distribution of machinery and tool kits to trained artisans.
Pottery Activity under Mineral Based Industry (MBI):
- Training on Wheel pottery.
- Distribution of tools and equipment (Electric Potter Wheel, Blunger) to trained artisans.
Beekeeping Activity/Honey Mission Programme under Agro-Based & Food Processing Industries (ABFPI):
- Beekeeping skill development training.
- Distribution of 10 bee boxes with live bee colonies and One set of Tool kit (containing one Knife, Smoker, hive tool and bee veil) to trained beneficiaries.
Waste Wood / Turn Wood Craft /Wooden Toy/Products of Panchgavya under Rural Engineering and New Technology:
- Training on Waste-Wood, Turn-Wood Craft, Wooden Toy and in Panchgavya based Products.
- Distribution of tool kit to all trained artisans.
Hand Made Paper and Fiber related activities under Hand Made Paper, Plastic and Leather Industry:
- Training on Paper Conversion, Paper Plate & Dona(Bowl) making, Paper Mache, Fibre Extraction and fancy article making and Ban making (Two ply).
- Distribution of machinery and tool kits to trained artisans.
Agro- Food Based Food Processing Industries:
- Training on Palm Gur, Tamarind, Fruits & Vegetables, Village Oil, Spices & Condiments, Cane & Bamboo.
- Distribution of machinery and tool kits to trained artisans.
Service Industry:
- Training to Electrician & Plumbers, and DigniTEA(Tea Vending on Bicycle).
- Distribution of tool kits to trained beneficiary.

How to Apply
Step 1: Visit official website to apply under the scheme.
Step 2: On the KVIC online portal and click on “Online Registration of Khadi Institutions.”
Step 3: Fill in all required details of the institution, including name, address, type of registration, authorised person, number of artisans, and infrastructure information, then save the form.
Step 4: After submission, receive a Username, Password, and Unique ID on your registered email and mobile, and download the acknowledgement for reference.
Step 5: Login using your credentials and upload all required documents such as registration certificate, list of artisans, workshed details, and bylaws.
Step 6: The KVIC office verifies the application and documents, and once approved, the Certificate of Registration (CoR) is issued online for download.
