The scheme "House of Himalayas" has been launched by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to provide a new identity to local Himalayan products of Uttarakhand by improving their branding, marketing, quality and packaging, and supporting them to reach national and international markets.

Benefits

New Recognition for Local Products: Under the House of the Himalayas banner, various products from Uttarakhand are gaining recognition at both national and international levels. This initiative will help establish local brands on the global stage. - Women's Empowerment: Women associated with self-help groups (SHGs) across all districts of the state are becoming economically empowered. This initiative provides them with employment opportunities and financial independence. - Market Access and Expansion: The House of Himalayas focuses on branding, marketing, quality improvement, and packaging of its products. This enables local products to reach larger markets. - Quality Control: Quality Control: Plans have been made to ensure quality control through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Livelihood Collectives (LCs), and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs).
