About This Scheme

The Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom: Post-Harvest Improvement – Polisher for Small Cardamom, Large Cardamom, Turmeric, etc. (Nos.) is implemented by the Spices Board, India, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The scheme aims to encourage spice growers to adopt proper polishing methods for spices such as small cardamom, large cardamom, and turmeric to improve their appearance, quality, and marketability. By promoting the use of modern polishing equipment, the scheme helps produce high-quality spices that meet export standards and enhances the competitiveness of Indian spices in international markets. The scheme is being implemented in accordance with the modalities and guidelines approved by the Competent Authority under the Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26).

1. 50 % of cost of unit, subject to a maximum of ₹ 94,000/- per unit for General Category and 75% subject to maximum of ₹ 1,40,000 per unit for NE/SC/ST & 90% Spice Producer's Groups in Identified Clusters subjected to maximum of ₹ 1,70,000/-

1. Individual farmers having minimum of 0.40 ha - 8 ha of spices.

1. Assistance for groups/FPOs will be as in QGBG
