The family pension of 50% of the journalist's pension goes to the spouse after their demise.

NOTE: Pension payments are made directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts through an online transfer.

Eligibility

Required Documents

  • Self-declaration Affidavit (20 years of full-time service as a journalist in Jharkhand).
  • Service Duration Certificate (issued by the editor(s) of media organizations where the applicant worked).
  • Complete Details of contributions to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) for at least 20 years.
  • Accreditation Certificate (issued by the Information and Public Relations Directorate).
  • Proof of Retirement Age (58 years or organization-specific retirement letter).
  • Aadhaar Card or PAN Card for identification.
  • Bank Account Details with a nationalized bank.
  • Annual Life Certificate to be submitted in March each year.
