About This Scheme

In the scheme Kharmore Sonchidia Award by the Forest Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the farmers are rewarded with ₹5,000/- if a Kharmor bird is sighted in the private land of the farmer and ₹10,000/- if a Golden bird is sighted in the private land of the farmer. The farmers are rewarded provided they ensure the protection of the birds, their eggs, and their habitat on their private land.

  • Installment 1: ₹1,000/- if sighted in July-August
  • Installment 2: ₹4,000/- if sighted in the same area in September-October

Reward of ₹10,000/- on Sighting of Golden Bird

  • Installment 1: ₹2,000/- for the first sighting
  • Installment 2: ₹8,000/- if sighted again in the same area
