National Livestock Mission: Livestock Insurance Scheme - Uttarakhand Livestock Development Board

The scheme “Livestock Insurance Scheme”, a sub-component of the National Livestock Mission, is implemented by the Uttarakhand Livestock Development Board (ULDB) under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide insurance coverage to livestock in order to protect cattle rearers against the loss of their animals due to death, thereby encouraging them to adopt better animal husbandry practices.
