The scheme aims to promote self-employment opportunities at the local level by encouraging livestock-based entrepreneurship and reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries through payment of 90% of the bank loan interest by the State Government.

For promoting self-employment at the local level, 90% of the interest subsidy on the bank loan taken by the applicant for setting up the following units is borne by the State Government:

10 cow units
2 buffalo units
5 buffalo units
Load Carrier Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
1 mule unit
2 mule unit
Commercial broiler farm for 1,000 birds
