The scheme aims to improve the health and well-being of both mothers and their newborn girl children by providing essential item kits after the institutional delivery of pregnant women registered at an Anganwadi Centre.
About This Scheme
Benefits
In the state, after the institutional delivery of a pregnant woman, the following benefits will be provided:
The woman will receive one Mahalakshmi kit for the birth of each of her first two girl children.
In the case of twins, the woman will be given one Mahalakshmi kit, and each child will receive a separate Mahalakshmi kit.

How to Apply
For Mothers: Dry fruits, socks, scarf, towel, shawl, blanket, bedsheet, sanitary pads, mustard oil, soap, and nail cutter. For Newborn Girl Child: Cotton/warm cap, socks, diaper, towel, baby soap, rubber sheet, warm blanket, and vaccination card.
