About This Scheme

The "Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana" under the "Nand Baba Milk Mission" aims to enhance milk productivity and per capita milk availability in Uttar Pradesh by encouraging the purchase of indigenous improved breed cows from outside the state. The scheme seeks to increase the number of indigenous improved breed cows, improve their breeds, and provide employment opportunities in rural areas through animal husbandry. This scheme will be implemented in all the districts of the state.

Grants covering up to 40% of the total cost per unit (maximum ₹80,000), which includes purchasing cows, transportation, insurance, fodder cutting machine, and shed construction.

Note 1: One unit means 02 cows of indigenous improved breed per beneficiary and the unit cost is considered to be approximately 2 lakhs.

Note 2: The grant will be released directly into the bank account of the concerned beneficiary through DBT within a month by the State Program Management Unit.

  • Passport-size Photo.
  • Self-attested Photocopy of Aadhar Card.
  • Notarized Affidavit (Applicant is not already rearing more than 02 indigenous advanced breed cows or hybrid breed F-1 cows and they have sufficient space available for animal husbandry).
  • Passport-size Photo.
  • Cow Purchase Receipt.
  • Copy of Transit Insurance.
  • Transport Expense Receipt.
  • Copy of Animal Insurance in force for 03 years.
  • Copy of Purchase Fodder Cutting Machine.
  • Copy of Expenditure (construction of a shed for maintenance of cows).
  • Milk Producer/Animal Husbandry Beneficiary Aadhar Card.
  • Certificate and Identification Number (microchips/ear tagging system/any recognized system of identification for identification of cattle).
  • Animal Health Certificate (issued by the veterinary officer of the concerned development block, on which the species of cow is clearly mentioned.
  • Notarized Affidavit (the assets related to the unit established under the scheme (including cows) will be maintained for at least the next 03.
  • Bank Passbook/Canceled Cheque.
  • Photocopy of the selection letter.
