The scheme "Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana-Special" by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, aims to digitally empower students and help them leverage the advantages of an interconnected world. Through this scheme, a grant or the cost of the phone, whichever is lower, is provided for the purchase of a smartphone to students who pursued a final-year undergraduate degree in Government Institutes in Tripura. The Smart Phone is helpful in opening up huge opportunities for developing skills, finding resources to enhance knowledge and availing employment opportunities.
