About This Scheme

The "National Family Benefit Scheme", implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh, provides lump-sum financial assistance to families living below the poverty line in the event of the death of the main breadwinner. If the primary earning member of the family, whether male or female, dies between the ages of 18 and 59 years, an assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided.
