Nikshay Poshan Yojana

Step 1: Patient need to submit his/her Aadhaar-linked savings bank account to TB health provider.

Step 2: Supporting documents like a Aadhaar number, passbook, canceled cheque, or bank statement must be collected.

Step 3: If Patient don't have a bank account:

• Open a new account (e.g., via Jan Dhan Yojana/India Post Payments Bank).
• Alternatively, Patient may nominate a family member’s account with a written consent (standard format available in the manual).

Step 1: Patient bank details will be entered by the TB health staff into the Nikshay system.

Step 2: Ensure Patient account is unique—no two beneficiaries can use the same bank account.

Step 3: Nikshay will automatically send the bank details to PFMS for validation.

1. Once validated:
• A PFMS Beneficiary ID is assigned.
• Patient status in Nikshay changes to “Validated”.
2. If rejected:
• Patient will receive an SMS asking his/her to contact the health staff to correct the bank details.
