About This Scheme

The scheme “Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Hostel” is an initiative under the Samagra Shiksha Programme, implemented by the Secondary Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide free hostel facilities to the children (both boys and girls) aged 6 to 18 years who are enrolled in nearby schools for formal education. There are a total of 13 residential hostels in Dehradun (Baniyawala, Araghar, Jhadipani, Nabha House- Rishikesh), Haridwar (Alipur, Laladhang, Mohitpur), Pauri (Srinagar, Peethsain), Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar (Gadarpur, Kashipur, Sitarganj).

Benefits

All children residing in the hostels are enrolled in nearby schools for formal education.

All hostel facilities are provided free of cost.

₹200 · monthly

Children are also given a monthly stipend of ₹200/-.
