About This Scheme
The scheme “Promotion of Exportable Surplus of Identified Spices in the North East: Cultivation of Lakadong Turmeric (Ha)” under the Spices Board, India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, aims to promote the cultivation of Lakadong turmeric for exports by providing 50% of the cost of planting material, subject to a maximum of ₹30,000 per Ha, to turmeric growers of the North East having land holdings of 0.10 Ha to 8 Ha, as per the modalities and scheme guidelines approved by the Competent Authority for implementation of the “Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom” during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26), under the component Export Oriented Production.
