About This Scheme
The ‘Promotion of Exportable Surplus of Identified Spices in the North East: Cultivation of Ginger’, implemented by the Spices Board, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, financial assistance is provided at 50% of the cost of planting material, subject to a maximum of ₹30,000 per hectare. The scheme is applicable to ginger growers in the North Eastern region with land holdings ranging from 0.10 ha to 8 ha, including Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts of West Bengal, and other North Eastern states. Designated officials will conduct final inspections and recommend eligible cases.
