About This Scheme
The scheme "Assistance to Parents" is a component of the “Rehabilitation of Cured Leprosy Persons” scheme, implemented by the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department, Government of Odisha. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the parents of Cured Leprosy Persons in order to support such parents in successfully bringing up their children against societal intolerance, stigma, discrimination and violence.
Benefits

Financial assistance: ₹1,000/- per transgender child per month.
> Note:
Assistance is provided until the child reaches the age of 18 years.
In case of death of the parent, supportive money will be made available to the guardian subject to production of the relevant Certificate of guardianship obtained from the Competent Authority.

- ✦Proof of permanent domicile in Odisha (for parents).
- ✦Birth certificate or proof of age of the child.
- ✦Proof of being Cured Leprosy Person of the child.
- ✦Certificate of guardianship (in case of parent's death)
- ✦Any other documents (if required).
