About This Scheme

Rythu Bima is a social security initiative of the Government of Telangana launched on 14th August 2018, aimed at providing financial support to the families of farmers in the event of the farmer's untimely death. The main objective of the scheme to ensure financial security to the families of deceased farmers by offering life insurance coverage for both natural and accidental deaths.

How to Apply

Farmer shares personal, land, and nominee details with the Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO). AEO enters enrolment data into the Rythu Bima online portal. Includes uploading required documents. Farmer’s land details are automatically verified using the Dharani land records database. Mandal Agriculture Officer (MAO) authenticates the data submitted. LIC generates a unique insurance ID for the farmer. SMS with LIC ID is sent to the farmer’s registered mobile number Nominee informs the District N
