About This Scheme

The scheme “Sparsh Abhiyan: Surgery to Prevent Disability of Poor and Destitute Disabled People of Madhya Pradesh” is launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance for the surgery of destitute and poor people, specifically to prevent disability in such individuals in Madhya Pradesh. The scheme provides reimbursement of expenses incurred on the surgery of eligible disabled persons. The scheme is implemented by the District Administration, with application submission handled by the Joint Director/Deputy Director, Panchayat and Social Justice at the district level. The applications for this scheme are accepted at the District Office of Panchayat and Social Justice.

Benefits

Provision of financial assistance for surgery of destitute and poor people.

Reimbursement of expenses incurred on surgery of disabled persons identified by the District Administration from the destitute funds collected at the district level under Madhya Pradesh Nirashrit Evam Nirdhan Vyakti Sahayata Niyam 1999 (as per rules amended from time to time).

Reimbursement of expenses incurred on surgery of visually impaired/low vision disabled persons from the funds received by the Public Health and Family Welfare Department under the National Blindness Prevention Program.

Reimbursement of expenses may be sourced from the funds of District Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Treasury of District Red Cross Society, or the amount collected from social workers and donors.

Surgery for Visually Impaired/Low Vision Persons:* Intraocular lens implant, Corneoplasty, Corneal repair- Surgery for Hearing Impaired Persons: Cochlear Implant, Tympanic Membrane Repair, Mastwired Surgery- Surgery of Leprosy-affected Persons: Reconstructive surgery Head, Reconstructive surgery Foot- Surgery of Bone-Impaired Persons:* SP Nail Operation, Orthosis, External Fixation, Replacement Implant, Surgery for Knee Hip and Ankle Correction, Shoulder Elbow and Wrist Correction, Post-Polio Correction Surgery, Construction Repair, Ligament Repair, Soft Tissue Release Surgery, Construction Correction Surgery, Elizarobe Lengthening and Corrective Surgery

  • Disability Certificate, Issued by the District Medical Board.
  • Residence Certificate, Issued by the Municipal Body or Gram Panchayat.
  • Income Certificate (Must be provided by a person or officer authorized by the Social Justice Department, showing annual income from all sources).
  • Recommendation For Surgery by a Medical Expert.
  • Two Photographs Of The Disabled Person (Latest certified photo must be pasted).
  • Recommendation Of The Hospital/Institution (Including estimated expenditure on surgery, signed and sealed by the Superintendent, Incharge, or Director of the institution).
