About This Scheme

The scheme “Sanskrit Chhaatr Pratiyogita” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar, under the Department of Sanskrit Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote Sanskrit education among students by organizing Sanskrit competitions. Under this scheme, Sanskrit competitions are organized at various levels for both junior (Class 6 to 10) and senior (Class 11 to post-graduation) categories. A total of six competitions are conducted in each category, namely Sanskrit Drama, Sanskrit Group Song, Sanskrit Group Dance, Sanskrit Debate, Sanskrit Auspicious Speech, and Sanskrit Shlokacharan.

Benefits

Separate six Sanskrit competitions for junior and senior categories are organized at every level. The prize distribution is as follows:

Development Block Level

₹300

Team Events: Minimum prize of ₹300/- and maximum prize of ₹800/-- Individual Competition: Minimum prize of ₹300/- and maximum prize of ₹500/-

District Level

₹400

Team Events: Minimum prize of ₹400/- and maximum prize of ₹2,000/-- Individual Competition: Minimum prize of ₹400/- and maximum prize of ₹800/-

State Level

₹6.0K

Team Events: Minimum prize of ₹6,000/- and maximum prize of ₹25,000/-- Individual Competition: Minimum prize of ₹2,000/- and maximum prize of ₹4,000/-

How to Apply

IIn-person

Prizes are awarded to participants or teams that secure first, second, and third place in the block-level competition. All first- and second-place finishers then advance to the district-level competition. At the district level, prize money is awarded to participants or teams securing first, second, and third place. All first-place winners at the district level advance to the state-level competition, where prize money is awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners.
