About This Scheme

The Sarna / Jahersthan / Hadgadi & Masna Protection and Development scheme by the Department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, and Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, aims to preserve and develop sacred tribal sites. Under this scheme, protection, fencing, infrastructure development, and beautification measures are provided to ensure the conservation of tribal culture and traditions.

How to Apply

IIn-person

Site Identification & Proposal Preparation:

  • The Gram Sabha identifies the site and prepares a project proposal.

Beneficiary Committee Formation:

  • A tribal-only committee is formed under the guidance of traditional village leaders.

Approval from Gram Sabha:

  • The project is formally approved and documented.

Submission to District Welfare Office/ITDA:

  • The proposal, along with required documents, is submitted.

Technical Assessment & Approval:

  • A review is conducted for feasibility and budgetary sanction.

Administrative Sanction:

  • Final approval is granted by the concerned department.
  • The approved funds are released to the Beneficiary Committee.
