About This Scheme

The scheme "Haryana State Merit Scholarship Scheme" was launched by the Haryana Education Department, Government of Haryana, aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections to pursue higher education. The objective of this scheme is to award Merit-cum-Poverty Scholarships to talented students from economically backward classes pursuing General University Education for Degree, Post-Graduate, and Doctorate courses. Students who pass the specified Public Examination from Punjab University, Kurukshetra University, or any other examining body notified by the awarding authority are eligible to apply under this scheme. Additionally, the students whose parents/guardians are the citizens of India and are domiciled in the Haryana State are eligible to apply.

L.L.B./B.B.A.L.L.B./M.F.A. etc., the scholarship amount for initial three years will be amount fixed for UG course and for remaining period (i.e. 01,1 ½ , 2 years as the case may be) will be amount fixed for PG course.

> Conditions for Receiving Benefits:

> The applicant must maintain satisfactory academic performance.

> The applicant must comply with the institution’s discipline and attendance requirements.

> Mode of Disbursement:

> Scholarships are directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

> Frequency of Disbursement:

> The scholarship is disbursed on a monthly basis for the entire academic year (12 months).

> Validity:

> The scholarship remains valid for the full duration of the academic program, provided the student meets the required academic and conduct standards.
