Sub mission on Seeds and Planting Material

The scheme "Sub-mission on Seeds and Planting Material" by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to achieve several key objectives. Through this scheme, assistance for seed distribution, strengthening of seed quality control laboratories, and creation of seed infrastructure facilities are provided to all categories of farmers, State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Farmers' Producer Organisations (FPOs), Co-operative enterprises, and Government enterprises. > Objective of Scheme: - Increasing production of certified/quality seed - Strengthening Seed Testing Laboratories - Assisting Seed Producing Institutes for the adoption of new technologies, ensuring farmers get quality seeds at the right time and at reasonable prices - Development of infrastructure for seed industries - Improving seed quality - Enhancing capacity building for seed production - Creation of a Seed Bank for adverse natural calamities
