Scholarship to Meritorious Sportspersons
The scheme aims to encourage and nurture budding sports talent. Annual scholarships are provided to eligible meritorious student sportspersons based on their sports achievements.

Scholarship is awarded for the highest sports achievement in one financial year.
Multiple medals in different sports do not qualify for multiple scholarships.
Performance in competitions held during the preceding year is considered.
The competition must have at least 7 competitors or 7 participating teams/units (except for Para/Specially-Abled sportspersons).
Mode of Disbursement:
Direct transfer to the applicant's Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
